Our youth are LinkedIn!

10 of our youth from our Vocational classroom traveled to LinkedIn in NYC to learn about job seeking and connecting in today's online world.  After being given an overview of LinkedIn, our youth broke into 5 groups where a LinkedIn employee helped each youth set up their own LinkedIn profile.  Our youth felt so cool and empowered to be exposed to the cutting edge technology in seeking jobs and gathering connections to the business world.

On Friday March 18th, ​CHNJ​ held ​its​ first ever ​Young Proffesional ​Sleep Out in Newark​. ​101​ young professionals from across​ New Jersey​ raised more than $118,000!

Thanks to Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, CHNJ now has 25 highly functioning computers, 10 of which are located in our Vocational classroom to provide much needed technology to support our young residents with job hunting and our staff with the day-to-day tasks of managing the facility.
